‘Sunless Shadows’ to screen at Museum of Modern Art in NY

Iranian film ‘Sunless Shadows’ is slated to be screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The 19th documentary festival of MoMA is to host Mehrdad Oskui’s latest work.

‘Sunless Shadows’ has been recently named as the 2019 opening film of the 32 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). The film’s participation in the Dutch event marked its first international appearance.

The documentary narrates the story of five young women who are jailed in a small juvenile detention center for murder.

Through breathtaking monologues, the women clarify the circumstances of the murders and even their motives.

The Museum of Modern Art celebrates creativity, openness, tolerance, and generosity. It is committed to sharing the most thought-provoking modern and contemporary art.

MoMA's annual two-week event is scheduled to be held on February 5-19, 2020.
